Kaitlin has been running Focus for Function since 2022.
Sports has always been my passion, since the age of 6 when I first hit the ice to now as I turn my passion for sport into a career. I grew up playing REP level ice hockey and softball. Juggling a busy sports schedule, school and figuring out my identity outside of sports has lead me to this career path. Hockey has always held a special place in my heart and life making it my priority. At the age of 17, due to injury, it came time for me to hang up my skates. I really struggled leaving the game behind and found myself feeling a little lost. It is these experiences that have really shaped my passion for helping others perform at their best!
I found sports psychology at the University of the Fraser Valley were I completed my undergrad. I was able to combine my love of travelling with education, when I attended the University of East London. At UEL I would go on to complete my Master’s Degree in Applied Exercise & Science with a specialism in Sports Psychology. From there Focus for Function Sport Performance was born!
